“The fees are around 460 EUR per semester. This usually includes a prepaid semester ticket , which entitles students to use regional trains in Germany free of charge as well as buses in Göttingen. University of Göttingen students also receive discounts or free entry to many cultural events in the city. Meals are available at reduced prices at university canteens.” www2.daad.de
- Application fee
- 75 EUR for the first application, then 30 each
Charged per semester and non-refundable regardless of the outcome. Ten programmes would be 345 EUR.
Tuition-free does not mean free: the Semesterbeitrag is payable every semester even where tuition is €0, and it moves on the calendar year because the transit ticket does.
Deadlines
not recorded
15 July and 15 January are conventions, not facts — uni-assist’s own wording is oft am 15. Juli, and it warns that institutions increasingly set earlier dates. Where a programme uses uni-assist, its deadline runs earlier still. Always confirm on the institution’s page.
